The manuscript of the Copland Concerto is in the Library of Congress, and images of the pages are at
http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=copland&fileName=sket/sket0030/sket0030page.db&itemLink=S?ammem/coplandbib:@field%28NUMBER+@od1%28copland+sket0030%29%29
. Unfortunately, it can be viewed only one page at a time.
Copland wrote some extreme high notes, which Benny Goodman, the dedicatee, did not feel comfortable playing, so Copland changed them. An article in The Clarinet several years ago detailed the changes.
I recently found in the LOC collection a script for a Leonard Bernstein Young People's Concert in 1970 where he talks about the concerto, and particularly the jazz elements.

Very interesting. Does anyone have an aircheck of this concert?
