Has anyone here performed Ruralia Hungarica Op. 32b? If so, what clarinets does it call for?
Thanks

Are you by any chance playing it with the Monmouth Symphony in March? I think I saw it on their upcoming program...

Looking forward to it!
We were there on Sunday - beautiful clarinet playing on the Tchaikovsky! Just lovely...
The young pianist did a fine job (the MacDowell is not a favorite of ours, but he played it beautifully), although we had a time figuring out what his real name was!
I'm curious - the March program is an interesting one. Do you know what inspired the theme and program choices?

Thank you for your kind words! I was playing 2nd on the Tchaikovsky...no less exposed at times though! The entire wind section is really a pleasure to play with...and of course, you know our Music Director, Roy Gussman, is also a fantastic clarinetist. He posts on this site on occasion.
As for the next concert, I'm only assuming the programing choice was a collaboration between the two conductors and the Board, since the assistant conductor, Lucian Rinando will be conducting the March 20th concert.

Well, again, a really lovely job on Sunday!
The pops concert looks like fun too, but we have a confirmation that day, and cannot attend.
I work with the principal trumpet player's husband - we both teach in the same school. There is a wonderful community of fine musicians in the area - it's a pleasure.
Anyway, we look forward to the concert in March!
Best -
Marge
