Hi All,
I have a surplus set of Albert system Buffet Bb and A clarinets,
both made in 1898. The A clarinet is marked "LP." whereas the Bb clarinet is
marked "NB." I assume this "NB" refers to the pitch. I have not seen this "NB" marking on any other woodwind instruments previously. Any ideas as to what this "NB" may indicate?
With thanks in advance,

There was a thread about this a wile back, and one guess was "Narrow Bore." I think it was speculation. You might try the search function.
