Where can I fix case latch in LA area?

One latch on the case needs to be replaced.
I'm in north Long Beach, CA.

Any luggage repair shop will be able to do the job, particularly if you don't insist that the new latch has to match the old one.

Most shoe repair shops can do it too.

It's harder for those of us in small towns with neither instrument repair techs nor luggage shops... I've noticed that latch problems always seem to be the same thing -- a broken spring on the latch. You'd think that someone would have found a better design by now, as that same problem has been cropping up again and again for the better part of a century.
