For use in UK orchestras, is it best to have a pair of clarinets pitched at 440 or 442? Very interested to get people thoughts and experience here. Thank you

I migrate between an orchestra that plays at the standard 440 and one where the conductor insists on 442. A 66mm barrel generally does the job for the former and 65mm for the latter. It’s no big deal. In practice, accommodating differently tuned pianos is likely to be much more challenging!

What level are we talking here?
Professional orchestras tune to 440

UK orchestras generally tune to 440Hz, although many clarinets built nowadays are built to 442Hz as that will give some leeway when things are cold, so you'll have to do what you need to do to make fine tuning adjustments to certain notes and intervals as you go.
