It's in 4/4 but there is one measure that has 1 eight note-two sixteenths followed by eight sixteenths and then four eighth notes. That would equal one extra beat and there is no meter change or anything. Is it possible that it's a mistake and that those last notes should be sixteenths as well? It definitely fits the phrase better.

probably 16ths as you said, however, it would help if you'd tell us which solo this is? title, composer, publisher? and what measure number?
also, check the piano part, see if its wrong there as well.

There's definitely a mistake somewhere, and you could well be right about the last four notes.
However, it could be that the eight 16th notes should be eight 32nd notes, with last four notes remaining as 8ths.
Or there could simply be too many notes in the bar, and some of them should be erased.
Do the previous and subsequent bars have the right number of beats in them? If not, perhaps a bar line is in the wrong place.

Thanks! I didn't think to check to piano part. I just did and the last last notes are sixteenths so it all adds up correctly there. Must just be a misprint in the solo part.
