 Evette and Schaeffer Clarinet
Author: midget_ninja

Hi I've been reading the other threads about this kind of clarinet and I have an Evette and Schaeffer clarinet with a serial number that starts with a "B." Does anybody know anything about this kind of clarinet? I've read a bunch of stuff about E&S clarinets that have serial numbers that start with "T" and other things, but nothing about mine. Thanks.

In this thread http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=250667&t=250667 it is claimed that the B series E&S clarinets, and indeed all non K series E&S clarinets, were stencils made by other manufacturers, Malerne in particular. Whether that claim is well founded or not I am not qualified to judge. Apparently it does contradict what Buffet says.

I have a b-series E-S Buffet too and what rsholmes said is pretty much all I've been able to find out as well.
