 I would appreciate some advice from Bass clarinet players for a Bass clarinet fingering ( normally I use German clarinet, but my bass setup is a Buffet 1193-2, Pomarico 2, Vandoren 3,5):
 I need a good fingering for the a''' in the following context:
 slow eighth f''',e''' followed by a long a''', decrescendo to pp, all notes legato.

 With both German and Boehm soprano clarinets it works, but for the bass I have no solution. Thank you in advance...

 Hello Thomas,

 From your notation I'm not sure in which register you are. However there is an indispensible set of altissimo bass clarinet fingerings at this website:

 Good luck!

 F6  =  TR 1/2 X X (lh C#/G# key)  O O O

 E6  =  TR 1/2 X X   O O O

 A6  =  TR  O O O (RH side keys 3&4)  X X X

 Thomas,

 Thes is the best way for me to communicate the fingerings that you will find from the site I have listed above. On that fingering chart there are three other listed fingering for the A6 (which would be the problem note). The one I have listed is the one recommended for pianissimo passages.
