Hi, I just aquired an E. Jehring Clarinet made in Leipzig that has a beautiful warm tone. Very old instrument, wrap around octave key.
Can anyone give me further information on this clarinet maker?

Jehring, Eduard (d 1893 WWI fl Altenburg ?-1885, fl Leipzig 1885-p1893.
Trained under F.C. Kruspe, active first in Altenburg; 1885 moved to Leipzig; 1885 after the Wein conference on pitch, he was commissioned by the Saxon Ministry to make a model oboe for the Markneukirchen Gewerbemuseum; his sons Julius and Ernst Albert successors. 1893 Rosenwald was working for him.
