"I've done everything from dancing while I play to theater roles to jumping out of airplanes with a clarinet."

I play clarinet. And I've jumped out of a plane. But never the two shall meet in my life!

My son is a student at UB. I'll have to check this person out!

She's an amazing player. Is that an old basset horn or an alto clarinet she's holding in the photo?

Read also about the physical preparation it takes to get to the top level.

 She rides horses.

I used to ride hunters and jumpers. ("Never fall in love with anything that eats hay or goes on water. Bad for the wallet.")

I doubt I would conside playing clarinet on horseback.

She is a wonderful performer. I heard her about 20 years ago while a student at Oberlin. She performed Harlekin as well as other avant-garde works with tape. Amazing stuff to watch.

And I remember the issue of The Clarinet which had her skydiving photo on it, clarinet and all!
