I would never have imagined that the remaining pieces of a busted clarinet would still make a useful horn . . . some where around the house I have a real nice Vito plastic upper joint that I need to hunt up and put to good use.

There is a similar piece for clarinet and band called "Immer Kleiner" (always smaller) - I played it with a Community Band touring Germany a few years ago.

Bother... can't view that one for some reason.

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

 As for cork grease...
If the locally available stuff is junk, don't you just buy it from another country? As I do?

For cork grease, you could start at one of our sponsors, www.doctorsprod.com

or http://www.aerospacelubricants.com/alisyn/musical-instruments/default.html

Whoa! A 550lb drum full of cork grease! That should do for a whole (small) orchestra!

I'm most surprised that he disassembled his instrument by wiggling the pieces apart rather than twisting them.
