They are quite popular...I've been wanting to perform for some time, but it always falls though. They are definitely crowd pleasers. For a particularly ballsy performance of the spring waltz, check out the Nash Ensemble's recording. Michael Collins is playing on that one. Also, I'd check out the original orchestrations, the articulations are editors markings, and since it's an arrangement, you can probably fool around with them a little bit to spice up the repeated material.
They are great fun though.
