websites for swapping instruments?

Hello all,

I know there are various websites for buying and selling instruments, but do any websites exist where folks can trade/swap instruments with each other? I would think, given the vastness of the internet, that someone may have put something like this together. Just curious, thanks.

As I recall, Windplayer Magazine http://www.windplayer.com has a buy/sell/trade section. However, all the details are hidden behind a subscription screen on their site. Look at a copy at your local Borders or music store.

Saxquest http://www.saxquest.com/trading.asp has a trading section that occasionally includes clarinets.

The MENC board has occasional trade requests. For example, see http://www.menc.org/networks/band/openforum/messages/8673.html

For contrabass and maybe bass clarinets, try the Contrabass list, http://www.contrabass.com/pages/classified.html. Also the Yahoo bass clarinet group, http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/NewBassClarinetGroup/?yguid=167263160

Craigslist has trade offers, including musical instruments. Google for your city and craigslist.
