 Buffet Sold Again?
Author: Ralph Katz
Date:   2005-11-21 21:44

I looked but did not see that anyone else reported this.

A flyer from Lisa’s Clarinet Shop (Inverness, IL) says that Buffet-Crampon has been sold, through a Management Buy Out (MBO) by its Managing Director, Paul Baronnat and Argos Soditic funds. Mssr. Baronnat, 59, has been Managing Directory of B-C through the last two sales of the company. The only other hard news reported in the flyer is that the US distribution center is moving from Sun Valley, CA to Jacksonville, FL.

Did I miss this on the board or is this new news?

GBK,

I think that old thread was about the purchase of Buffet by Baronnat and Argos Soditic. Now it seems they've flipped it.

anagrams, anyone?

Lisa's newsletter copied verbatim most of Buffet's June 23, 2005 announcement.

I recently read that International House of Pancakes has purchased the company and intends to make an edible version of the R-13 to be known as the "Brownline" R-13 (it's made of highly-compressed ground beef in a bouillon matrix, if I understand it correctly). It will be served along with a few side dishes as the "All You Can Eat Buffet".

Is it too early for April Fools jokes?

Yeah it might be a little early for april fools stuff, creative though (especially with my dislike of greenlines).
