Hi ~
Can anyone give me the name of a really good clarinet repair person in Cleveland? Who does repairs for members of the cleveland orchestra clarinet section? I just moved to ohio and I need some extensive work done on my A clarinet, and some minor repairs on my B-flat, and I would prefer to find someone local.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

You might try Tim Burdick (216) 371-0328. His business is called "Woodwind Workshop", located at 2140 Lee Rd., #200.
He was highly recommended to me by a well-known professional oboist who brings his instruments to Tim all the way from Atlanta!
I know he does the repair work for the University of Akron. Don't know who else's work he might do, but he is good. He pinned my oboe for me, and it is fine.

You might try Educator's Music in Lakewood. While I have never had major work done there, the owner, John Stavash, is a clarinetist and I'm sure that he has good people working for him.

I have had some clarinet repair work done at Educator's, while i was going to school in Oberlin. They did a stand up job and i would recomend them to anyone. I did not have major repair work done.. just the odd pad and some bass clarient adjustments.
best of luck

I would try Educators Music in Lakewood as well. The repairman there, Gary Bindis, is extremely good and reasonable, in my opinion the best guy for your money out there. Gary is very friendly and open minded- he'll do whatever work you want, without any hassle.
You could also try Lou Gangale, who does fine work as well. Tim Burdick is good but quite high price wise.
Hope that helps.
