okay- the boosey and hawkes A finaly came this morning! The model is a series 2000- that was never listed on the other thread, so I was wndering if anyone could tell me if that's a pro model or not? And if anyone has anyway of dating this clarinet, the serial number is 244399 Boosey and Hawkes London, series 2000, made in England.
I have noticed that, opposite my buffet r-13 Bb, the pinky key notes (especially 3rd line B and chalameau E) jump out. It feels slightly stuffy on the right hand notes... have especially noticed that on the 4th line D.
overall, it seems sharp (which is a godsend, it's easier to correct sharpness and my other clarinet is flat on the lower notes and sharp on the high notes)
I have noticed in this short time, some tuning quirks- some random notes are either about 15-20 cents sharp, or dont even seem to register- the arrow on my tuner just goes wild.
If I think of anything else, I will post, but for now, if anyone could maybe put me at ease about the weird quirks or tell me that those quirks mean dont buy i!, please do! and if someone could tell me if this think is pro or not, that wuld be great! thanks
