 Changing to a different pitch
Author: bflatclarinetist

I have a b-flat clarinet right now and since I like playing in the altissimo register a lot with my b-flat I'm thinking of buying an E-flat. So I've just been wondering if it'd be hard to catch on if I buy it. Well I think the question is what will be the differences be if I play it (for example how would I need to change my embouchure and etc...)

I hope that's enough information for you to help. Thanks

Every shortcoming of your technique is magnified on the Eb. I'm learning this from experience at the moment. The instrument is a lot less forgiving.
