ok, i am an advanced bass clarinetest in the eigth grade and i have many ways of practicing. i can play a cromatic scale in different patterns, i can practice the 12 major scales, i can play long tones, or i can practice my sheet music. is there another way from anyone to help me get even better at bass clarinet than i already am? and also about how long should i practice each day? i have been practicing for an hour to an hour and a half each day and i don't think i'm improving as much as i would like to. do you think that's a reasoinable amount of time? thank you so much for your help.

you can't improve quickly over a short time, for big improvements take time. an hour i plenty enough, but it's how you spend your time, 15 minutes with scales, 30 of sheet music, or whatever you need/want to get done, and the last 15 of whatever you want. you can always join a youth orchestra, they play more advanced music then a grade eight class will ever get. or even go to your local college of music, and get some samples of harder music, and get a recording of it, so you can play along with it. hope this helps.
