could someone cause you all are so musically smart and stuff could you give me tips on how to do a vibrato on a tenor or any kind of sax. thank you very much for your time and help.

well, when i have to use vibrato on my tenor, i just move my lower lip slightly up and down. and, i've heard from others that it helps to say "ha" while you're playing that note (but still tonguing it). it always helps to keep an open throat (just think of someone shoving a lightbulb into your larynx). i hope this helps

Hey, my teacher just taught me how to do that today...she says its all in the bottom lip, and tongue. like play while say Taw yaw yaw yaw...yah know...fast though...so i'm gonna try it tommarrow...hope it works!

hey, im a flute player, and i play sax on occasion also. idd suggest using ur diaphram for the vibrato. if you push in on your stomach when you exhale youll increase the air pressure, its basically doing that w/o your hand. you flex ur diaphrame to fluxuate the pitch. this way you can make sure its consistant and also you can control the speed very easily. =D hope this helped! it will start off slow, but the more you do it the faster it will get. hope this was a help!
