In case you didn't know this yet when playing a Db use your
whole right hand and it will be more in tune.
Also when playing Gb use yor middle finger on your right hand instead of your ring finger to tune it better.

If Gb (=F#) with the right middle finger were better in tune, why should they have come up with the awkward standard fingering with the ring finger at all?
Unfortunately, F# with the middle finger (which is the standard fingering on the clarinet, incidentally), although much easier (hence used for trills) is usually flat on the flute (may be not on yours).

thank you!! that helps me a lot because I am going to play flute next year, I have extreamely long, skinny fingers, good for the piano, so that is very good that you posted that for all flute and piccalo players, in other words " Im blabbering1!!! ". I'm in 5th grade now, and next year I am going to Mayde Creek Jounior high in Houston, I hope to keep in touch!
