i cant play A6 (on alto sax) what am i doing wrong i play on 4 (maybe its because i have less than a year experience) i can play G6 ????????

thats a high note. a number of things could attribute to this note. your reed could be to weak, or in bad shape. all you need is a 3 or 3 1/2. theres no real need to go any higher, or lower notes become a pain to play. your embouchure might not be strong enough. sometimes when you reach the higher altissimo notes, your embouchure needs to be tougher. tighter embouchure all around, don't pinch the notes out, or they get sharp and sound horrible. long tones can help aswell. spend time on long tones up in the higher altissimo, thios can help your embouchure perfect to those altissimo notes, and also give you a crisp clean sound on those notes. soon after, you'll notice you can hit notes easier up higher, giving your embouchure time to strengthen. hope this helps.
