Well, I've heard of Gold Flutes and how the gold gives the Flute a beautiful, dark sound, but is there an Alto or Bass Flute made out of gold.

If so, can you imagine the darkness of the sound...

The company that makes James Galway's flutes, Muramatsu, offer a solid silver alto flute, but don't seem to make a gold one. There may be other companies that do, though. The Muramatsu website is at:

I have not seen a Gold Alto Flute. I personaly don't like gold flute becuase when I play them they give me a very fuzzy sound. But that is different for every person. James Galway uses a gold flute and I like his sound for an example.

James Galway actually prefers a platinum flute now, which you can also get from Muramatsu, but he does play his gold glute occasionally.
