Just wondering,
are the brands "SKY" (USA) and "Symphony" any good or are those some to stay away from???

I'd stay away from them. Stick to instruments made by Selmer, Leblanc (which includes Vito, Noblet, & Normandy), Buffet, and Yamaha.

I wouldn't buy a flute from Selmer, Leblanc or Buffet, which are fine for clarinets, but not flutes (I don't even know if Leblanc and Buffet MAKE flutes). The brands you have found aren't well-known brands, and are most likely not worth your money.
For flutes, pick Yamaha, Gemeinhart, or Armstrong as a beginner.

I only know that Yamaha and Jupiter are good.. i havnt even heard of all those other ones. But i was told Yamaha and Jupiter are up there in the best

These brands are likely made in China. One factory there has the capacity for building 50,000 instruments a year. These are probably "stencil" instruments where the name is selected by the importer for the manufacturer to put on. At one time, Japanese instruments were not well made and now they are fine. Taiwan and China are going through a learning process now where they are improving their quality. They have large markets in their own countries so they are working to get better. I recently bought an open hole, low B wooden flute from China at a low price and found it to be very well made and very playable.
