well their are minor scales. and you can make minor chorids on the piano. but there's no key to point out and say that's a minor.
i'm not sure if that's what you meant...but that's the question i got from it.
sorry if i'm way off on what you meant.

There are twelve major keys, and conversly, there are twelve minor keys. Every major key has a minor key with the same name. Ask if you have more questions.

alriight.
Let's use a C scale for example.
It's played
C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C
instead of playing that, you take the third down a half step.. and sometimes the sixth too, depending on what kind of minor scale.
C-D-Eb-F-G-A (or Ab)- B-C
To make a major chord minor, take the second tone (the third of the chord) down a half step
C-E-G becomes C-Eb-G
The easiest way to tell if a song is in a major or minor key is to listen for "happy" and "sad"
A major key sounds happy, normal.
A minor key sounds sad, or like halloween. You'll know when you hear.
I hope I've helped, and i really hope i haven't confused you.
