I was wondering what the approxiamte value of my alto saxaphone might be. It is an Elkhart with built by buescher elkhart - ind inscribed on the front. The serial number is104979 21A

It is probably a student model, in which case it is worth a few hundred dollars.
Note: it is saxophone, not saxaphone.

That is a student model horn, like the type you would pay $400 retail to purchase. A couple hundred dollars is all it's worth if in playing condition

It has a great sound. Ser number 60714.

Just wanted to add that mine has a 58M.
It my not be the most expensive sax but to survive
this long it must have the tone...

Purchased one also, where is the serial number located?
An Alto saxaphone listed on ebay for $710.00 as of 04 May 2005 and they have 4 days 7 hours remaining for the bidding process.
