How do you do a F to Bb tremolo on Clarinet? F on the top line of the staff and the Bb above that.

The best way is to finger the F regularly and then lift the 2nd and 3rd fingers of your left hand so
000|0xx to 0xx|0xx where the O is a covered hole. Just be careful that the Bb doesnt go flat.

Derek's right but make sure the cork where the little thing (just above the middle joint - you know, the bits that connect) joins is all there. Otherwise the note won't speak. Apologies if that didn't make sense ...

To musical lottie,
What you are trying to say is make sure that the cork on the bridge key is there and that it has the proper thickness. Otherwise one of the pads on the upper joint will not close correctly and there will be problems with the Bb.

Thanks Dee for putting that far more concisely!! Jenni - either your pad (just below the first ring key) is slightly worn, or the cork (on the bridge key - is that what you called it Dee?) isn't quite thick enough.
