 Bassoon Vibrato help please?!?

Hi,

I don't know how to do vibrato on the bassoon, please tell me.

embouchure vibrato on a double reed would effect your pitch. you need to use your diaphragm and oscillate your air from that muscle. practise on a whole not and try oscillating your air slowly. then after a while gradually go faster. it will sound like crap for the first while, but after a couple weeks of practising, it'll sound better. what would help would be to listen to recordings of bassoon solos. that way you know how the vibrato should sound like. hope this helps.

Bassons look funny. I still think saxophones are better. but to help you, what you do when your instructor asks you to do it. Say you have to use the rest room, and never come back. having a cell phone or a gameboy would help
