Greetings!
actually dizi is played vertically like a recorder.
Xiao is played horizontally like a flue
I am also looking for fingering chart for a Xiao (horizontal type). Have you found one?

as far as i know, Dizi is played horizontally while a hsio is played vertically. You have to paste a special membrane , called "Dimo" (obtained from a plant) and paste it over the membrane hole to produce the classical Chinese Dizi sound.
If you do not have a Dimo , you may paste a office tape over the hole. But the sound produces doesn't like that of a Dizi.
I provide the fingering chart for a Dizi as per below,
Good Luck and enjoy Dizi playing.
B = Blow Hole M= Membrane Hole for pasting "Dimo"
1 = LH fore-finger
2 = LH middle finger
3 = LH third finger
4 = RH fore-finger
5 = RH middle finger
6 = RH third finger
x = covered hole
o = open hole

I have a dizi marked as G on the third hole from bottom. Is this means I have a G flute? Please tell me the fingering for C and G. Thanks
