I've been playing flute for 4 years(its only my freshman year in high school) and I just switched to pic this year. I can get all the low notes and the high notes, but my middle notes are coming out wimpy! Could it be that I'm expecting to be higher or lower than they really are-like I'm under or over blowing?
I've been unable to get a D, E flat, E, or F, which are the most basic notes ever, so I know I'm not a bad player since I can get higher notes very easily, I'm just doing something wrong with these.
I need help ASAP because I have a competition TOMORROW!!!

Ahh I just got them out really GOOD! Wow! I think I just need to tighten up. I'm too used to flute, especially since I've been practicing flute lately and not piccolo, which I've lately only been playing at school.

Well, no competition, its been flooding out here in WV so they canceled the football game and the comp(thank goodness, they're both like 3 hours away!)
But I still need to know this!
