this year in band we no longer have a baritone so my teacher has decided that i'm going to play some of the bariton TC parts on my tenor sax. Since the bariton is a low instrument, i'm finding myself playing alot of low low bflats. I can play them but they sound awful (at least to me) my low b flat sound terrible with the other instruments. is there anyting i could do to improve my tone??
 thanks

I've found out one thing in band this year:
 AIR IS EVERYTHING...
A lot of support and steadiness should help. the throat should be relaxed, like you're trying to swallo an orange or you're yawning.
 hope this helps
