sorry for the dumb question, but what is a gizmo key? (on the flute)

It's a fine question ^_^. On a B foot (one with three keys) there's a third key-lever thing above the old two that puts down only the third key. Very helpful for altissimo C (C7). This is the gizmo key. There's a picture here: http://www.fluteworld.com/Merchant/ - go to "site map" -> "glossary of flute features" Or do a google image search. ^_^

on a flute with b footjoint, you can't get the high c7 without pressing the gizmo key with the little finger.
