what does it mean when an instrument is double something. example the tuba can be a double b flat tuba and i think a type of contrabass clarinet exists as a double e flat; what does that mean? i thought the pitch in front of the note is what that instuments 'c' sounded like. for instance clarinet in b flat's c sounds like b flat, flute in c's c sounds like c. if this is so for the double whatever instrments then why don't they say tuba in a and contrabass clarinet in d? someone explain this thing!!!!!!!!!!
