Is the alto saxaphone fingering the exact same as the sopranos sax fingering? Could you also get me a link to a fingering chart that is non confusing? Thx

if all could play like getz, then tenor. as far as the soprano goes, listen to billy childs "midland" composition or bob mintzer of yellowjackets. childs is a keyboard player but the haunting soprano on the above will remind you of dark, rain soaked streets of ny or chicago late at night............very good and a good representation of soprano..........childs is a keyboard player but composed

The positions are the same but they play in different key (alto: Eb, soprano: Bb)

they are the same, except the extreme high notes. since alto and soprano are different sizes, they react differently to each fingering. when you get higher up, alto fingerings will not be as exact as they would be on an alto. you'll need to experiment to figure out what fingerings are good for you. hope this helps.
