I'm considering doubling on oboe and bassoon -
The embouchures are different - is there a conflict?
Would my bassoon embouchure suffer because of
the oboe embouchure?
Would my oboe embouchure suffer due to playing bassoon?
anyone tried this combination, or have any insights into this?
Thanks

I play both instruments.
As long as you practice both instruments regularly, you won't have a problem.
The two embouchures are dissimilar enough that you end up using the muscles differently, so there should be no confusion. Oboe is a much more controlled feeling while bassoon is quite loose in comparison.

I played oboe and bassoon too. For me, I used the same embouchure for both instruments, except for taking more reed into my mouth for bassoon and different reed angle in the mouth. If I didn't play the oboe right after I played the bassoon, it was no problem. Going from small reed to big reed was always easier.
I was playing in European style though, so for American style oboe embouchure, it might be different.
