 nickel plated polishing cloth

Hi, everyone...
I have a question. I received a used, still very good condition, Selmer nickel-plated/sterling silver polishing cloth in my instrument purchase case.

I was wondering, is this washable? Or would I remove the cleaning properties there on the cloth?

If washable, what are the rules for washing?
