Hello, I'm interested in buy a used rosewood patricola, but I have a few questions. The oboe was made in 1997 and are the older patricolas has good as the newer ones? The main reason I want to buy the oboe is because of the rosewood. Will the rosewood give the "sweet, soloistic" tone I looking for. My primary instrument is a loree royal ak, so will buy a rosewood oboe be a good idea? I mainly want the patricola has a solo oboe, and use my loree to "blend" in a band or orchestra situation. I would appreciate your responces.

To clarify to "soloistic" tone, will the rosewood be good for baroque music, because the rosewood is more like the boxwood of the baroque oboes then like the grenadilla is to the boxwood? Again your responces will be appreciated.
