Playing a sustained note and moving your head very slowly left to right, right to left?
Change nothing in the embouchure or volume, keep the tone constant and listen. Try it several times.
You will hear many amazing changes in the sound, especially in a small practice room , studio or rehearsel space.
Try to imagine a 3D graph representing what you hear and then try to describe it in this forum.
What does it mean, why does it happen and how might it impart something worthy of consideration in your every day playing?
(There is more to this than first apparent. My oboe Yoda taught me this and I will share more if interest is generated.)
