I currently play clarinet and am interested in taking up the oboe. I have no knowledge of this instrument. Well, I guess I do... I've never heard an oboe section in tune. So I'm up for the challenge. I would like to know what would be a good starting instrument for a beginner like me. I'm a poor student so I'm not looking to buy a Buffet oboe or spend too much money. Also, what's a good beginner book to get me started? Thanks.
