I have an oboe that has been passed down in my family for quite a while. My mother was born in 1961 and she received it from, I BELIEVE, her great uncle. (She passed away in 2008 so I can't ask for sure and I forget). All 3 pieces have the F. Loree stamp, however, I have been researching trying to figure out how old it is, etc., and everything I see says that the serial number is either 1 or 2 letters followed by 2 numbers. The serial number listed on this oboe is "AS 6". There is a space between the letters and number, but is the same in all 3 places. I have attached pictures and can attach more upon request, but can anyone tell me any info about the oboe? I know NOTHING about them besides what I learned the 3 years I played it in school. Thank you!
