Well, the concert is soon to arrive, and I took all of your helpful advice by telling my orchestra director that my embouchure was not ready for the concert :D
It was rather early in the morning, so maybe he was a little tired, but he did seem dissapointed. I won't let it bother me though, because I have good news about my oboe process!
I've been working on my embouchure and have been using solely my air to get a sound out, and am now a duck in the world of oboes! YAY!
I know about 5 notes, so I'm on my way up, lol.
My mouth doesn't hurt at all anymore - my lips just feel really numb and jello-like. Hopefully that's a better sign.
