This one is hot off the presses. Recording finished Wednesday, took Thursday off to enjoy Thanksgiving, then did the video this AM, still hung-over on turkey and pumpkin pie. I just absolutely love this time of year...:)
This is a jazz setting of Angels We Have Heard On High, featuring jazz oboe in a combo setting. The time signature is an alternating group of 5/7 and 7/8 in varying combinations.
Oboe = Covey, shaper = Brannon-X, RDG American gouge .60 mm center and long scrape finished to 69,mm on 46 mm staple.
Cane is RGD RDO 10.5 mm tube from 2006.
BTW, I pulled this reed out 1.5 - 2 mm in the socket to settle the pitch a bit.
(Crossing thread topics a bit, I know, but this is a reality of studio pressures, hot rooms, etc...)
Happy holidays!
