Hi,
Well I am back making good reeds and my usual techniques and strategies are doing the trick. With time and patience I am again having reed success.
As I stated in previous posts - I am in the midst of trying out new batches of cane - since I exhausted my ten year supply!
My teacher gave me some old tube cane from his cane closet; can from various suppliers. What I have noticed is the aged cane - over 5 years old or more - works better than cane I have recently bought.
So my question: What is the optimal time cane should be aged? Does it matter?
