Hello everybody. So i'm in the market for a new English Horn. We can skip the debate on instruments because it's really just a matter of preference. I know bocals are equally important. Would it make more sense to get a couple bocals to try out at the same time as trying out the English horns? It makes sense but I feel like i've never heard it being done this way.
Now just a couple questions about bocals. I know the curve of the bocals affects the tone but is there a standard to this like having the being more bent gives sharper intonation. Also about the bore and length of the bocals. I just want to know if these all have a standard affect on the tone and pitch of the instrument. bocal
Thanks everybody for you help!
