 dremel

The post about dial indicators made me re-wonder about something that I've had the urge to try: using a dremel (my spelling may be incorrect) tool in reed-making. My knife technique, according to my teacher, is acceptable, but....I wonder how a cylindrical bit on a dremel would work. Since a problem with a dull knife is taking out chunks of reed instead of the fine dust one wants....seems like a delicately-used dremel might be a fun experiment.
Here, for example are interesting diamond bits: 400 and 600 grit. If one is at the point I am, where the knife is useful but its use not ingrained, experimentation with modern tools is inviting.
