Is it reasonable to think that I can re-pad my old junky oboe?
I suspect the pads are the originals ca.1960s and they are really awful-(one is gone so I can't even play anything that needs that one(like low C).
A professional re-pad is out of the question since it would cost more than I paid for this oboe or more than it would ever be worth by any stretch of the imagination.
