The inscription attached says French Made Sterling.
Any ideas as to who made these?

Selmer made a clarinet called "Sterling". Made in France for sale in U.K.

If it's a Selmer Sterling, they were made by Malerne for Selmer London to fill a gap in Selmer's lineup.
There were also some Selmer Paris clarinets engraved with the name Sterling inside a diamond.

Chris - you mentioned the Sterling inside a diamond. I've now managed to reduce my photo and hopefully the photo is now attached.
