Hello, I was wondering if anyone had experience with a hand crutch for a bass clarinet. I have large-ish hands and have always had issues with my left hand position in the upper chalumeau range, even when using a floor peg.
Any thoughts?

Are you talking something like a bassoon RH handrest/slug fitted to the side of the top joint?
That's something that can be fitted easily enough, provided you find the correct spot for it while you're attending the fitting.

Do you use both a floor peg and a neck strap? Using both at the same time is generally ideal, especially if you find the instrument falling away from you. A crutch would make hitting the Ab key more difficult.
