My son is going to study clarinet as school wants him to join in the band! He’s just 9years old! I am trying to find a clarinet teacher in Melbourne, some recommendations are Kate Stockwin, Paul Champion! Also, is Phillip Miechel very famous? Anyone know them?

I'm in the very outer east, I'm not very familiar with teachers in the CBD. You could ask at The Music Place in South Melbourne, 039699 9099 or The Music Centre in Ormond, 0395782426. They'll know all the local teachers.

Philip Miechel is a bit of a legend, but he's not is the CBD. Both Paul and Kate would be excellent. i'm not sure how local they are.
