I saw on Muncy Winds that there are 4 Pyne Mouthpieces on sale, the JX, E, M, and PK models and was wanting some help to see which one would work best with my set up. I currently play on Vandoren Black Diamond with Grand Concert Select Evolutions size 4 and use a Bay ligature. Out of those four models, which one would work best with my reeds? Thank you for your help!

In reality, the only way to know is to try them. The design and feel of the Pyne can be a bit different than many other mouthpieces.

I agree with Ed. I played a Pyne for a few years that I bought from someone that had several that Pyne had adjusted for him. Before that I was unable to play any others I had tried. They are all so different. Call them and ask if you can have them on assignment. You have to try them to tell.

Why not just e-mail Pyne and ask them directly? I have a Pyne PolyCrystal and e-mailed them some years back about reed recommendations; they cheerfully responded within hours and advised that it was faced to work well with Vandoren Traditional reeds.
The PolyCrystal, by the way, is a fine mouthpiece, and plays well with most reeds, some of which are quite dissimilar to the VD Traditional. Gonzalez FOF, LaVoz, and even the Orange Box Rico (GASP!) have all been winners for me on the Poly.

I've actually seen Mr. Pyne in a clarinet symposium @ my college alma mater. I bought 1 of his mouth pieces for $55, thru my professor.
I have 1 of his crystal mouth pieces on my C Clarinet and I have an email from him 2 instructing me on the C Clarinet. He's going 2 b missed.
