Are Jupiter clarinets any good? Are/do they:
Built well?
Play in tune?
Have a decent tone?
Their flutes are supposed to nice.
I understand the clarinets have improved (this forum), any comments on what to avoid/look for?

I really like the 1100s, it's my top recommendation for an intermediate clarinet. The build quality is on par with Buffet intermediate instruments and the intonation and response is far better than your average out of the box Buffet. The best part is you can buy them open box for as little as $600 at some places. They are a great option if you want a left hand Ab/Eb key too since they come with one standard.

I fully agree with JDBass player! And I work for an instrument maker as a tester. Not Jupiter, though!

Thanks. I’m looking for horns I can get, fix, and sell profitably, that are also good to recommend to students.
